- A little about me. I have more than 15 years of experience working in marketing/public relations for non-profit and corporate organizations. For more than five years, I have been working in alumni relations where I oversee the public relations/communications initiatives, including print/Web/social media/media relations, as well as some event planning. Previously, I worked in the energy industry for five years, serving in the corporate communications office where I was responsible for numerous projects, including financial, internal/external commmunications, the company Intranet, crisis communications and media relations. A proud West Virginia native, I have a bachelor's degree in public relations and a master's degree in corp./org. communication. Additionally, I have 18 hours of post graduate work completed in higher educational administration and six hours of graduate work in digital marketing communications -- all from West Virginia University.
